Spin Bowling

Spin bowling is a wonderful art in cricket, where one needs to know how to control the amount of revolutions given to the ball. In International Cricket we can see many players trying spin bowling in part-time basis. From this many ppl are thinking that spin bowling is much easier than pace bowling . For any bowler the main thing is line and length, but for spinners in addition to these things the ability to bowl long and tidy spells is also an essential one.

For a spinner the encouraging thing is beating the batsmen in flight. The best thing they can do in pitches outside subcontinent is contain the batsmen and pile up the pressure in one-side and let the pacemen attack from the other side and grab wickets. In these pitches slip and short leg are a must for a spinner. Now and then the spinners too take wickets with the bounce available in the wicket and the turn which they can get on the fourth and final day. The final and penultimate day pitches in any test match favours the spinners.

In sub-continental wickets spinners play a major role in deciding a team's fate than pacers . Most of the sub-continental pitches are made for spinners since all sub-continental teams have spinners leading bowling attack. Here the pitch starts turning right from day one and as the match progresses the pitches ll bcome a ranked turner. In these pitches the spinners need to flight the ball as much and need to get the purchase out of the wicket . Also the captain needs to attack with closing men around the bat, so that the pressure can b applied.

In ODI's the job of a spinner changes depending on the situation of the game. Now a days the spinners are bowling lot flatter in the limited version of the game which makes them to b played easily. For a spinner to survive in international cricket now a days he needs to b having variety in his bowling. For an offie doosra is a weapon which can get him wicket and make him unpredictable and now a days some offies are bowling theesra which i have no idea :P. For a leggie they are developing the art of googly and flippers which provides them with the variety.

Controlling a leggies in not a easy one. So i would rate the "Spin Wizard" Shane Warne ahead of the "Legendary" Muttiah Muralitharan.

NightOuts

GHOSTRIDER-2

... 3 ...
The first night out which i experienced was going to a mokka movie GhostRider-2 . Without having any plans to go to movie v went to andhra mess and while crossing ags one of my friend initiated the movie plan. After having a heavy dinner v got tickets for the movie and started to cheer as soon as the movie name came on screen. We are in the thought that it 'll be full of action sequences as like its previous version. Once the movie started one of my friend started to sleep and the rest of us were seeing the movie for the only reason that we payed 120rs for the movie :P The movie got over by 1'o clock. OMR road which will be full of traffic during most of time is empty. We were waiting a lift for more than half an hour. Fortunately a taxi driver gave lift from Navalur to colege and we reached college by 2'o clock.
This time we planned and booked ticket for the over-hyped movie "3" for a song "Y this Kolaveri di". As usual we finished our dinner in andhra mess and took bus to navalur and reached theatre on time for movie. The movie experiecne is a mixed one as movie is good in some parts and mokka in some parts. This time we somehow got a share-auto till kelambakkam and after reaching kelambakkam we thought of taking a walk till college. Me along with 5 of my friends started our journey with a photo taken in centre of road, hearing songs and talking silly stuffs within ourself. It took more than an hour to reach college still the walk is simply nice.
This is the third nightout for the movie "OK OK". After finishing our dinner we came to ags. This time it's a b'day treat of one of my friend and we booked the tickets already. We ppl cheered for almost all the scenes of movie. The movie is an entertainer so we ppl njoyed the movie to the core. Once the movie got ovr we got an share-auto to kelambakkam and had a walk to college. The difference to the previous outing is the no.of ppl's. This time the count is 8.
So sad to say all these kind of njoyments are going to get over very soon... Life as a college student rocks tat too as an ssnite its simply gorgeous. Thank u SSN for changing my life :)

Test Cricket -A Beauty !!

The oldest and the most exciting form of cricket... It's the test for a player's temperament and his technique... Playing test cricket is not a easy task, since one need to be 100% fit so that he can withstand the wear and tear which his body will face over the five days of match... Test cricket is the most interesting form of cricket since both batsmen and bowlers can dominate in the same match..

The  import thing for a batsmen to succeed in test arena is to apply all the skills which he possess and play out session by session... For a bowler to succeed he needs to have a lot of patience and make the batsmen play as many deliveries as possible.. Also a bowler needs to put the ball in right areas consistently and needs to ask questions in batsmen's mind constantly..

Conditions vary from country to country... In England ball will seam and swing around a lot. so batsmen needs to b moving their feet to counter the swing to b successful in these conditions. Also a bowler needs to bowl full in length to get the movement that can trouble the batsmen.. In Australia there 'll b seam and bounce so the batsmen needs to be good in their back-foot strokes and also they need to be good in front-foot too. A blower needs to bowl  slightly back of length deliveries... In SA the pitches 'll b lightning quick.. In NewZealand the pitch condition changes depending on the weather conditions prevailing at that season.

In sub-Continent many pitches are flat and dead tracks, some tracks will take spin and provide tough situation for players from other part of the world. (Fast)Bowlers need to bowl their heart out to get some purchase from the wicket.
Whereas there'll be plenty of purchase for the spinners.

A good batsmen is one who will play in all tracks without difficulty. A good bowler is one who can adopt to all pitch conditions and adjust his line and length quickly. Now a days people are getting attracted to T-20 a lot. T-20 destroys cricket. It is just a commercial form of cricket. It is just about hitting the ball. U can even succeed in t20 without skills and techniques... There wont be any respect for bowlers.

Youngsters need to play test cricket before getting into national team. Now a days chances are given depending on t20 performances. A player who has done well in domestic test tournament needs to be given the chance ahead of a t20 player. Also the pitches used for domestic circuit needs to be laid in international standards so that players can cope up to the international tracks easily :)

Lack of security of our Govt servers

NEW DELHI: Investigators have unearthed a new and deadly pattern of cyber attacks in which Indian government servers have been used by foreign entities to target the computer networks of third countries.

The finding comes at a time when a dispute rages within the government over who should be responsible for protecting India's critical IT infrastructure. According to sources, foreign entities have penetrated the servers of the National Informatics Centre in recent months and used them to launch attacks on countries, including China. Among other things, the NIC hosts the official websites and emails of the Indian government.

"These attacks are mostly targeted against government networks of various countries," a source said, adding that the attacks were planned in such a way that investigators from the victim countries would believe that they were launched from Indian government servers. Investigators suspect foreign government entities, including intelligence agencies, have a hand in exploiting NIC servers. They say since the attacks were targeted against Chinese government servers too, there is no scope to blame China.

China had in August said that it had suffered about 250,000 cyber attacks from foreign entities, 8% of which had come from India. Sources now believe these attacks could be the result of the NIC servers being exploited by foreign entities.

Even as this new angle to India's IT infrastructure security emerges, a turf battle is raging within the government about who should be protecting it. Sources said both the department of IT and the National Technical Research Organisation-the technical intelligence agency created after the Kargil conflict-had laid claims to being responsible for safeguarding India's IT infrastructure.

The department of IT believes the job should vest with the Computer Emergency Response Team while the NTRO says it must have the responsibility for both defensive as well as offensive cyber security.

Meanwhile, conventional cyber attacks from foreign entities to extract confidential data from Indian government systems are on. Recently, the computer systems of the ITBP came under attack. There have also been attacks on the systems of the MEA, National Security Council secretariat and other departments.

Facebook security threat

The recent Facebook hack has reportedly claimed over 2 lakh victims in Bangalore. According to a news report in Mid Day, some two lakh Facebook users in Bangalore had their accounts hacked and weblinks to their morphed pornographic pictures sent as feeds to friends and family.

Quoting social networking analysts, the report says that more than 2 lakh Bangalore Facebook accounts were hacked. The cybercrime department too is reported to have received calls and complaints regarding the mass hacking.

According to the report, there are around 50 posts on Facebook stating that the users are quitting the social networking site forever after being embarrassed before friends and family.

Incidentally, according to a Bloomberg report, Facebook claimed that it has identified those responsible for the deluge of hardcore porn and violent images in some users' newsfeeds, and said it is working with its legal team "to ensure appropriate consequences follow."

The social networking company made the statement after porn, pictures of extreme violence and faked photos of celebrities such as Justin Bieber in sexual situations had overrun the profiles of some Facebook users.

Facebook said that it has "drastically limited the damage caused" by a spam attack that took advantage of a browser vulnerability. "Protecting the people who use Facebook from spam and malicious content is a top priority for us," Palo Alto, California-based Facebook said in a statement.

Users were tricked into pasting malware into their browsers, which in turn resulted in the sharing of offensive content, Facebook said.

Transition from SLB to SSN

School days are the golden days of anyone's life. It's the same in my case too. That too if u come from a Govt school like the one which i came from(exclusive boys school) then those days are the most memorable days one can ever get in their life.  The P.E.T(Physical Education and Training)periods during which we used to play high catch,7-stones,basketball and the fights that happen during the basket ball matches which disappears as soon as the period gets over, the first basket which i scored for my class team,my silly fights with my close friends are all really unforgettable.

Even though i had all these memorable moments i still feel that i missed many things in my school days like going out with friends, hanging out with them and many other things. Most of my leisure time is spent infront of my PC in playing games. From 10th to 12th most of the time i used to spend in tuitions which made my schedule hectic. But still i had time to spend with PC playing all the new graphics games which was released at that time :P One thing i have to say that i haven't know anything about girls and don't had friends from opposite sex :P

August 11,2008 the day when i entered the next heaven(SSN),i felt bad after my parents left me in hostel . In noon during the Cognizant program i saw a girl who came forward when the compere called some volunteers ,that moment i felt like bulbs glowing :P. She's the first girl whom I liked. This is my first change in my college. Then as days went by came to know many friends, started adjusting to hostel environment. One person(girl) from my hometown got introduced to me by the girl whom i told above. As days went by she became my best friend. This is my next change.. In first year i haven't got that much friends in college. My friends circle is small as like my school days.I still remember the first exam which i bunked(EG unit test).

After entering the 2nd year i got an excellent gang of friends. The first outing with friends is when i went to SRM college for PARADIGM(our dept symposium) publicity. This is my next change.First time symposium works, friend betraying me,proposing a girl, and many many changes happened.First time outing with girls (to mahabalipuram)  then MUNNAR tour are awesome. The first real sad thing happened in the gang is when two friends stopped talking to eachother b'coz of a girl.

In 3rd year going out with friends became a regular thing.Started bunking many classes and hanged out with friends, which is the next change. The trip to GOA is the ultimate enjoyment which i had with guys.
With many and bitter moments third year went by.Now entered final year of college life. I regret of missing PARADIGM this year. Had tough times still had a lot joyful time with my gang.

From school life to now the only thing without any change is my interest towards PC games especially FIFA.Now gonna enter the final semester of college life so feeling bad of missing all my dear friend and my wonderful gang. :(
